* Studio is set up so that there is room to move around, boys have choice in where to sit

* Much of class time is spent working on a project, and along with music, boys are able to stand, sit, dance, move about to be comfortable and re-focuse as necessary

less talk, minimal writing

* Classes are 9-PG, except for AP which is upperclassmen

* Rules and expectations on gum, phones, grades and quality of work habits are clear

* We avoid using public criticism and are careful with sarcasm

* Be ready with a few good comebacks, build coolness credibility
